Whilst Chris Patten spoke of Johnson being on "a runaway train of English Exceptionalism"
And, as a cold, damp December mist descends upon Paris, Berlin, and Brussels, it seems fair to conclude that threats of military violence have not turbot-charged whatever talks might still be possible.
