From my recollections of Rumpole he'd be opposed to everything Littlejohn supports on principle.

Defence barristers are cheeky mavericks when they pull a fast one over the suits and zealous traffic cops on behalf harassed hard working tax payers. Its when they defend ‘real’ criminals they’re liberal elite do-gooders making a huge wad ‘getting them off’ by pulling strokes and fancy words.

I certainly can't see him reading the Daily Mail.

Pussyfooting like nobody's business today. Shyster lawyers, but explicitly not Gareth Pierce. Yes, everyone deserves legal representation, but not these lot.

Here's the thing, Richard. Your lot made her a public figure. Your lot are keeping the circus going.

Peirce's clients include Julian Assange, Guantanamo Bay inmate Moazzam Begg, and members of the Guildford Four and Birmingham Six.
Er, they were only guilty of being Irish.

That's a hanging offence to Dickie and his intended audience (should we call them 'Dickheads'?)

Today's barrel of bollocks. Why the cops should be chucking hairies down the stairs, not giving parking tickets to people like me.

Countryside Alliance - Good
Climate Change protesters - Bad.

I love that he acknowledged that the climate protests were peaceful, while the countryside alliance kicked off, before going back to justifying police brutality on anyone he doesn't like.

When 400,000 people from Middle England came to town to demonstrate against Labour's ban on fox-hunting and neglect of rural communities

Has he plucked that 400K figure out of his arse? What I do remember is the Countryside Alliance's interest in rural economic neglect was next to zero. Apart from jobs for people involved in fox hunting.

Always wary of organisations using 'alliance' in their name. It's like they're run out of the same office. Or something.

The 400k figure is artificially inflated. They counted the farmers wives and sisters as different people.

I'll get me Barbour.

In which he may as well sing "I'm a cunt, I'm a cunt, I'm a C-U-N-T cunt...".

When the opposite to the story would be more surprising, there is no story.
