Anyone notice that the DM has today recruited the services of that well known and deep thinking political heavyweight and philosopher Joan Collins to address the problems that face the nation?

Words fail me....

I sometimes think that the DM is actually more stupid than Viz, which is intended to be stupid....

I'd prefer to read the views of her sister on how all of our problems could be solved by a jolly good rogering from an open shirted accomplished horseman.

Well, it would certainly resolve RL's issues anyway.

She feels that Cameron is doing a good job but is ‘being held back by Clegg’, and she despairs of the Lib Dems.
Another who's forgotten the Tories didn't win the last election. She's always been up herself. As I suspect have most of the directors who cast her.

I remember seeing her on an old episode of Who wants to be a millionaire, where in describing her charity of choice, she said she believed that children are our future, before declaring her chosen charity to be The Shooting Star Children's Hospice which cares for terminally ill children

Funny in a tragic sort of way

Isn't it an obvious opportunity for RL to rehash buried comedy gold by tipping vermouth over her tits.

Dont really understand why Joan Collins became a star. She was'nt a very good actress and until Dynasty (IMO possibly the worst TV programme of all time, with the exception of anything on ITV1 featuring Cilla Black) she was just a bit part player usually in crap films.

I remember seeing her once some time in the 70s in a rubbish film with the guy who was Eddie Yeats in Coronation street.

Her image appeals to a certain type of middle class fantasy - the high class whore - and she's never really deviated from it. Chuck in the nostalgia element (70s drink-spilling and soft porn, the Dynasty years) and you've got a certain level of wank-fodder that's hard to beat.

Compare Joanna Lumley (3 seconds in a Bond film, negligible career, later resurrection as a comedy goddess - in a series that a certain type of female journalist just loved - and soldier-siren) for similar levels of laudation.

But yeah, old man porn.
