The trouble is, people think she's just a parody of the snobbish, arrogant, pig ignorant gobshyte who do talk loudly in restaurants, but she really DOES act like that, almost with impunity.
Reminds me of a middle manager with whom I worked, who guffawed a bit too loudly about the fact that many of us were not getting a pay rise while he was. We were at a works meal in a local restaurant, and he was even irritating the boss who was out with us and who couldn't get him to STFU.
Cue one huge pavlova despatched with aplomb over his 'feckin' heid' by one of our blokes; the best bit was the boss paid for the pavlova.
