The most ridiculous part is that they're still talking about it 5 days later as if they genuinely belief if some sort of scoop.

Octagenarian walks with a stick.

Deliverance star Burt Reynolds, 82, swaps stunts for a walking stick as he strolls through New York's JFK airport

"Shall I say he looks unrecognisable? "
"Does a bear shit in the woods?"
Stooped over a walking stick, actor Burt Reynolds looks unrecognisable from his heyday as the bare-chested action hero who performed his own stunts

To be fair the Commentariat are not buying this story either. Should poor Mr Pope, however, find himself letting in a soft goal at future World Cup, he can expect to have this non-story regurgitated and its role in his failure fully diagnosed.

The story churned from the Sun on Sunday. The Mail and the Sun now occupy the lowest rung of the journalistic ladder, the rung where the shit is shoulder deep and the morals have evaporated.

People from Soham spotted diverted coach parties turning up after those murders stopping for fish and chips and a good gawp. The sort of ghoulish numbskulls the Mail and Sun wrote that story for.

Oh, I yearn for the days when I feel like I could treat myself to some breakfast. But you know, I'd rather save all of my gajillions of pounds per week wage.
