To be gender-neutral they're making everyone dress like boys?

This should go in the Things I Don't Get thread.

(Mind you, I don't grok this uniform stuff anyway. The kids are there to learn Maths and History and stuff, not to stand to attention on the square and get barked at by a Sergeant-Major.)

The headmaster twice made it clear that gender neutrality was not the issue although the decision makes this a welcome consequence.

My three granddaughters attend a school near Wakefield that has had a trousers only uniform policy for girls for some time. It's no big deal. No arguments about skirt length or style.

Lots of extreme hair style/colour stories doing the rounds again.

Boy, 15, who dyed his hair blue during the summer holidays is banned from lessons after he desperately tried to change it back to his natural colour - only for it to go GREEN

I'm surprised he wasn't banned for the stupid mullet let alone the colour.
Sceptical, and 459 others agree, seems to think that this is a mullet -

As any fule kno, a mullet is all business up front with a party going on behind, the total opposite of this cut.

Baby Names: Olivia top as William makes way for Muhammad

It's that time of year again. Bollocks am I going over to the Mail to see what they're saying, but I'm guessing no patient explaining about Muslim naming customs will cut the mustard.

Nor indeed that the Mail is quite happy to lump together every variation of spelling to make it's point.

For those who want the list, here is the Graun list of the top 100 for each...
