My feelings on such were neatly summed up by Tim Minchin:

"These people aren't plying a skill,
They're either lying,
Or mentally ill".

It's a puzzle who's worse: the Mail for paying him, or him for accepting it.

And there is even more astrological help at hand for anyone seeking to make changes from the start of 2019. The gradual convergence of Saturn and Pluto (which culminates the following January) is a once-in-a-generation event.
I had been wondering what would happen to astrology now that Pluto is no longer a planet...

It's Grand National time. A pre-emptive strike from the Liverpool Echo.

Dear Daily Mail, We've had enough - an open letter ahead of the Grand National 2019

It's time to leave our girls alone - and let them have fun

The dress that won Aintree! Plunging £70 frock from PrettyLittleThing with statement ruffles is seen on SIX racegoers

SIX people out of a crowd of 50,000 wearing the same attire?! Someone get right over to https://petition.parliament.uk/ and start one. This has to be prevented from happening again and it must be debated in the House as a matter of urgency. Bloody disgraceful.

You have to hand it to Scousers. Anyone who disses them gets both barrels.

But isn't the Mail an equal opportunity mysogynist?

I thought it did similar hatchet jobs on brazen slappers on the piss at Royal Ascot and all?

And what the fuck is a statement ruffle?
"Why hello there. I am a ruffle and I unequivocally support the revocation of article 50."

In a nutshell, part of an item of clothing that's described as "statement" is meant to draw the onlooker's eyes towards that, by being flamboyant, frilly or exaggerated. Usually it's "statement sleeves" but in this case it's ruffles.

It always seems to me that their Aintree angle is "Drunken Northern Slappers" while Ascot is "Nice young girls enjoying themselves - but a few go too far."
