'High Art'? It's utter wank, that's what it is.

And how can a Collett Third from 1938 have ever been hauled by FS? Now, the GN composite, yes.

But I fail to see how graff can ever be considered an art form. I used to get very nervous on Tube trains whenever I saw signs that someone had indulged in so-called 'acid graff' - where highly-dangerous hydrofluoric acid had been used to etch the glass.

Such a bloody shame, especially the teak paneled coach. On RailUK the first comment was from a mailtard, suggesting that they were sent to Saudi but he got shot down by more reasonable folk resulting in the usual passive-aggressive whine.

I suppose the one thing that we should be grateful for - rather like the teak set on the NYMR a few months ago - is that it didn't involve fire.

On a newsgroup (remember those?) I read the following:
It is arguable that the BBC is responsible for the importation of the
habit of "tagging" trains given it made a documentary that was less than
critical of the mess made of New York subway trains back in the 1980s
when it was virtually unknown here.

To revisit this, the SVR Trust have launched an online donation push to raise the £10,000 needed to repair the damage. Fortunately it seems the teak in particular had been due for a go at some point and i was mostly covered in soot, meaning the paint was easier to get off than might otherwise have been the case

Driver high on cocaine ran over and killed girl, 19, lying in the road who he mistook for a discarded bag
Flaherty, 35, was within the speed limit and stopped at the scene, but was found to have a small amount of cocaine in his system.

Clearly under the limit as he wasn't charged with drug driving. ... z5Db4a6NwZ

Anyone having access to any of the UK's military bases should surely be screened at every level?
Yup. Full health screening for every deliver driver, milkman and postie. No problems... And 1200 green arrows.

And this one?

The history of the Royal Free Hospital fascinates me, even today. It's world class, but how was this person allowed into the country with this?

Ever heard of incubation periods? In the case of MP it is 6 to 16 days but can range from 5 to 21 days. It is highly unlikely that when the person entered that they were ill

Monkeys steal coronavirus samples after attacking lab technician in India, sparking fears it could spread contamination
The sample boxes were later recovered and had not been damaged, Meerut Medical college superintendent Dheeraj Raj said.

Mr Raj said: 'They were still intact and we don't think there is any risk of contamination or spread.'
