Please, please sack me! Euro MP DANIEL HANNAN on the money and perks he gets from Brussels for making Britons' lives harder... and why he is begging the nation to have the courage to put him out of a job

So Dan's the 21st century George Washington who will lead the battle for liberty against the foreign tyranny of landfill and lightbulb directives. And as Farage correctly pointed out over his alleged office fiddle it's not an expenses system but an allowance system. It's popular in a country like Belguim where you pay 50% income tax rate. Dan would rather pay 5% on his income despite enjoying the benefits of Belgian public services.

Of course he'd still have the job as a Mail content provider.

We can trade and co-operate with our allies on the Continent while living under our own laws.
Not by making or reselling shitty toasters and lightbulbs you won't. Unless you make a 'sovereign' decision to adopt EU standards. Besides, how do you sign a trade agreement without ceding sovereignty?

If he actually gave a shit, then why not put effort into shaping policy, debating it properly and making Briton's lives easier? Or would that be too much like actual work?

Because he has a massive ego to feed and unlike the majority of people in the UK, losing his "job" won't see him risk being kicked out on to the streets. #wingnutwelfare

Tempting as it is, there are far better ways of putting Dan out of work.

It's rare for me to agree with Dan, but he's pretty much spot-on with my views here.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10 ... d-celebra/

I read the piece fearing the bit where he veered off to draw some crude parallel about plucky brits fighting for their freedom against oppressive continentals.
Starring Boris as Hereward the Wake and Gove as Baldrick.
I was quite relieved when he left his story in 1066.

Here's the UK schools revision guide on the "positives" of collectivisation - the monstrous policy that killed millions. Via @JGBartholomew.

*EDIT*

After being absolutely hammered he has just fessed up and posted the full image...and keeps digging.

To those demanding "context", try to imagine a textbook setting out the positive and negative case for, say, Nazi race laws. @JGBartholomew
