A few weeks ago George Eaton intereviewed Roger Scruton, Scruton made a series of racist remarks for whcih he subsequnetly got sacked for. But that isn't the end of the matter, the spectator has gotten hold of an audio copy of the interview and they have used this to paint a different picture of the interview

Now on the one hand I have little time for George Eaton since he turned Corbynista but have even less time for the likes of Scruton and Murray. So what does everyone else make of this whole affair?

To quote GF Newman's Law and Order, Scruton was overdue, I'd say.

What on earth was he supposed to bring to advising the government?

Scruton’s been around since the 80s as a rentaloon academic. He used rail against the evils of rock and roll and the permissive society for being responsible for sending us to hell in a handcart.
