Seems to me that Fenton has kind of lost it these days, having previously seemed relatively sane.

Having a go at Frances Barber for criticising the Cobynistarate (I might have invented a brand new word, there), and insinuating she is some sort of incoherent piss-artist.

Ad hominem, much ?

His obsession with people such as Karen Danczuk is a bit odd. She was always a fringe character even whe her former husband was vaguely newsworthy. Looks like he's hovering on a few Twitter accounts looking for something to work up outrage about. Much as he moans about the Westminster bubble, he's also oxygenating his own select punditerati.

He drank the Kool-Aid.
Drank? He virtually drowned himself in it.

Well, I don't mind that Fenton calls out a lot of this "anti Semitism" silly bollocks but I have little interest in that anyway and my eyes usually just go skyward whenever I hear about it.

Defending Corbyn's backflips, triangulations and confusions on Brexit (even if he eventually comes to the right decision), his borderline obsession with getting certain opinions he doesn't like shut down and his weird obsessions with utter non entities (like the afore mentioned Danczuk)) is just tedious and ridiculous, really.

He's at his best when critical of the media bubble and the hypocrisy therein.

Oh I'm sorry it's only one of the oldest hatreds around and the main opposition party has a serious problem but if it bores you.

I noticed years ago that his favoured ad hominem is to accuse his target of bête noire of perennial inebriation.

Made the blog more tiresome to read for me, as well as his stock selection of nicknames and phrases. I reckon he could do with some away from Crewe and the internet.

I swear half of that blog is written with copy/paste phrases from an open text document adjacent.

I remember when he used to post on uk.railway.

I find him patchy, there's the occasional gem of an article.

At his best he aggregates a lot of twitter threads.
Usually people who act in a coordinated way, but want to promote an impression of a broad movement.
For example the likes of Gove or Johnson tweeting something almost simultaneously with a handful of think tanks and a couple of rightminds content providers.

Perceptive Blog entry from Mr. David Beeson :

Labour’s led by a man entirely after the heart of those who hanker for a magic wand. His supporters view him as a socialist and a man of principle. Neither claim seems particularly supported by the facts.

I appear to have angered the resident twat of Zelo Street. Pointed out that lambasting someone for trolling was a bit rich coming from a site dominated by anonymous posters engaging frequently in attacking people for their physical characteristics alongside their politics. He replied by deliberately misquoting me and leaving a couple of non-sequiters.

Sad to think that for some people, this is their lives.
