Even Cole hasn't been making excuses for Johnson at the last couple of PMQs sessions.
It's a journalistic, public-school thing. "We're disappointed. Most of all, you're letting yourself down."

From the Poke -
Here’s that quote, and a bit more, if you’re in the mood for it.

“Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer, and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult…. All that was required of them was a primitive patriotism which could be appealed to whenever it was necessary to make them accept longer working hours or shorter rations. And when they became discontented, as they sometimes did, their discontentment led nowhere, because being without general ideas, they could only focus it on petty specific grievances.”

Nice to see the S*n behaving in a responsible fashion

Some bollocks about hugging nearest and dearest

They seem desperate for a second peak.

There’s no link to the experts at this mysterious ‘University of Oxford.’ Sounds like a cowboy college for bogus English language students.
Now the University of Oxford experts say it is possible to loosen these guidelines while still keeping coronavirus under control.

The Sun is for idiots. It's not by idiots, though.

This is carefully crafted. The implication on one hand is that disagreeing with JK is the province of nasty wife beating types. The other end of it is, of course, to remind their readers that every once in a while, a woman gets slapped about, and maybe she earned it so it's different.

I think I'm right in saying they've extended similar courtesies to Jim Davidson and others, because apparently domestic violence now comes with a right to reply.

When the Sport Are Statyoos brigade stumble to whichever lump of marble and granite they're guarding tomorrow afternoon, this will be their most popular reading matter. And they would have you believe that they're the guardians of a superior culture.
