VETERAN broadcaster is turning his back on farming after 30 years.
The Cardiff-born journalist and presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, is giving up farm life because he feels like an “amateur”.
The former Western Mail reporter bought a 134-acre holding and 100 cows in the ‘70s, but his rural Carmarthenshire base is now on the market.
Despite selling the herd and more than 110 acres shortly after buying them, Humphrys held on to the farm and 16 acres for his own personal use.
