Was trying to find the piece about the GOP founding Fox News as a Republican propaganda channel but this will do in the mean time as an indicator of what we're in for.

Yep. If you think it's a purely American problem, take a look at F*x News Australia on youtube. Have your calming beverage of choice on standby.

And here's what sane Americans make of it all...

As Fox News Struggles at Home, Murdoch Brings Its Playbook to the U.K.

His venture and another upstart by a rival group of investors will challenge the BBC and Britain’s efforts to guard against political bias in television news.

The latest recruit appears to be Michelle Dewberry who was once a contestant on the Apprentice. She also appeared on 'The Pledge' which was a discussion show on Sky News. Quite a few of the other GB News presenters like Nick Ferrari all appeared on the Pledge but the show couldn't have been that successful because Sky ditched within a year. Hopefully GB News will suffer the same fate.

Let me guess. Hard nosed business experience, harsh realities of life, quit whining, no special favours, just get on with it?

Also stood as an independent pro-Brexit candidate in the 2017 GE and for the Brexit Party in 2019, so very much on-brand.

Has Neil made any effort to recruit serious journalists with right wing views or is Michelle Dewberry the best they could find?
What wankers are going to anchor Murdoch’s rival tawdry effort; James Whale and Gaunty?

It's not going to be the Sunday Times Insight team, is it? Not even the one under Neil.
