That Rod Liddle's a cunt. Maybe not of Morganic proportions, but a cunt nevertheless.Projective Unity wrote:That Rod Liddle's a funny bloke
Take the appalling case of Tia Sharp, whose dead body has now been found in the attic of her grandmother’s home.
The Old Bill came round to search the house, stamping up and down the stairs — but they decided not to bother looking in the attic.
You get the feeling that they couldn’t spot Mo Farah at a Ku Klux Klan convention.
I don't know... if they were all dressed up in their hoods, it would be quite hard to spot him, especially if the only light was from burning crosses. I assume if Mo was going to be hanging round such a place, he'd have the sense to dress as to not draw attention to himself.You get the feeling that they couldn’t spot Mo Farah at a Ku Klux Klan convention.
No challenge there - Mo would be the only sober person present.Maybe he should have said "quite hard to spot Mo Farah at an EDL/UKIP convention", but that would mean having a go at his mates.
Ah, yes. Presumably they'd think he was the waiter and bellow at him to get the drinks in.The Red Arrow wrote:No challenge there - Mo would be the only sober person present.
Now you try telling that to Mr Sun reader when he's in full flow after his third Lager Tops.lord_kobel wrote:Factcheck have pointed out it's bollocks: http://fullfact.org/factchecks/health_a ... racy-27769" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The story was written by the same reporter who wrote a piece two weeks ago claiming that an Asian security guard working for G4S had spat at and insulted a soldier at the Olympics a story which triggered a predictable response from the papers readers yet no evidence has yet come to light to prove it actually happened. With this particular story it would be interesting to know who 'the source' actually was and if the source was paid for the information. The two main potential sources would have to be either a member of staff at the prison or a visitor. Given that several journalists at the paper are currently being investigated for paying prison officers for information surely repeating the offence would be extremely reckless. If the story has come from some one who was a visitor at the prison how can such a claim be properly verified?
If the source went into the kitchens and was in a position to hear things being shouted from cells, it wasn't just someone visiting an inmate - it was someone with some sort of official standing. Which means that, if genuine, it would be child's play for the prison to identify the person in question from their records of official visitors on the day in question. So why try to anonymise them? Could it be because they don't actually exist? I often feel that in these stories about prisoners exacting society's revenge on other prisoners of whom they disapprove, there is a strong element of wishful thinking and, in particular, pandering to the bloodthirsty tendencies of the hangers and floggers amongst their readers.A source who visited the Category A prison in South East London yesterday said: “Everyone in the kitchen was talking about him arriving.
“Inmates are talking of death threats. You can hear his name being shouted out from cells.

I doubt if he'd get away with the old " Why, Mo! How many times have I told you to wash up after weekly cross burning" line.
