May made a decision not to go for more important reasons than football that people will understand. Plus not being a lucky general she figures they'll probably lose if she is there.

I note there's Telegraph and Mail outrage I've a Tweet sent by Juncker's assistant gently mocking the football result last night.

Because you know, when Germany got knocked out, we all passed on our sincere condolences to Angela Merkel, didn't we?
