A few years ago they laid into Pope Palpatine for debunking a few Christmas myths and trying to get back to the religious side of things. Nobody is immune.

Yesterday I was in a shop and the voice on its self-service checkouts had been changed to be Christmassy. E.g. if you had an unexpected "gift" (no longer just "item") in the bagging area, instead of telling you to wait for assistance, it would say "I am sending one of my elves to assist," and whenever there was a moment when the voice normally doesn't have anything to say, it filled the gap by singing jingle bells. I don't know how long this had been going on, it could have been the first day or it could have been all week for all I know, but people were already fed up with it. So bollocks to anyone who seriously thinks Christmas has been banned in this country!

Have a Mary Christmas! Row erupts over calls for a female volunteer to be allowed to play Santa Claus in town's annual festive tour
Won't someone think of the children? Yes.

Please stop, it's farther Christmas, St Nick not St Nicola, if you want to dress up be Mrs. Claus. Stop and think what the children will think, don't confuse them and ruin Christmas for them. By the way is Happy Christmas or Merry Christmas NOT Happy Holidays leave Christmas alone.
