Brexit BETRAYAL? Sajid Javid plan to end Irish backstop BLOCKED by civil servants

SAJID JAVID’s plan to end the Irish backstop with a digital border has been suspended by the Treasury.
The Home Secretary intended to commission Border Force officials to manage Swiss-style trade and tariffs to avoid a hard border in Ireland

Swiss-style frictionless border.
Switzerland is in Schengen area, would the UK like to sign up to that?

They walk among us.
In a pub on South Street, I chatted to an elderly lady who was sitting at a table next to her two sons. Both had voted for Leave. She had voted Remain. Why? I asked her.

“There was this logo on a red bus, saying our money should remain in the UK. That’s why I voted for Remain,” she said.

I just don't know how this will affect people like this: will it affect them?

It's all got too much for me, too complex: I think it's time I fully retreated into my world of Jack Hylton and Henry Hall, an electric fire and a radiogram for company and in the words of Louis Jordan, "I'm gonna buy me a radio/that don't know how to get the latest news".

Mainly the whips for doing this. But Mercer too. He could always name them, couldn't he? Or would that be against army values or whatever.
I think Mercer could conceivably be another one to follow the Boles route and stand as an Independent Conservative in the near future. He's already on record as having a low regard for many of his Tory colleagues.
He's, like Tobias Ellwood, sane and presentable. But he's been freaked by hardcore Leavers in his constituency, hence he voted for No Deal.
