Ofcom have announced an investigation into the impartiality of the BBC's news and current affairs output ... erence.pdf
It'll be interesting to see their findings.
I imagine everything will be pretty low-key.
I can also imagine the Gammon wing of the Tories and beyond expecting the report to find Commies everywhere.

John Prescott pulled out a pork pie on the podium at a Labour conference in the 90s to award it to the Express's Jon Craig as the embodiment of a worthless, lying Tory tabloid polemicist. Craig is now a parliamentary correspondent for Sky News and I've never detected any bias in his reports but still contain lively journalistic rigour. Its as if the original purveyors of fake news and false equivalence have grown-up while the BBC infantilises.

An interesting take on how to bend the news. More than a little concerning if one equates this method of reporting to domestic politics.
