I thought 'The Sun' would go after Elton given that they have still not got over the fact that they had to pay him over £1m in libel damages after making up some malicious crap about him.
Who is the mad one in this scenario: The wall, or the person trying to converse with it?THE SUN SAYS Us Brits aren’t negotiating with the EU over Brexit, we’re talking to a brick wall
Is that a chink of light we can see in negotiations with the EU?
Angela Merkel’s given Boris 30 days to come up with a workable border solution. Since everything else we’ve offered has been knocked back almost immediately, this counts as some kind of progress.
Merkel and Emmanuel Macron are vital to finding a way out of the Brexit impasse. If they choose to compromise, the rest of the EU — even Ireland — will almost certainly fall in line.
Things can still go wrong. Macron’s aides are already mouthing off about us paying a divorce bill even if we leave without a deal.
As far as we’re concerned, they can go whistle.
Boris has an opportunity. Let’s hope the rebels in his party don’t ruin it.
Another day, another two-bit celeb virtue-signalling their way to an invite to Frogmore Cottage.
Jameela Jamil has now decided that “England” is racist because Harry and Meghan are being questioned about their jet-setting ways.
What idiocy. The criticism is because the eco-warrior Royals have been tootling around on a private jet while hectoring the rest of us to stop having kids and stop going on holiday.
Playing the race card is offensive.
Sun readers are all for going green, mind.
But the fact that we’re none the wiser about how much getting to “net zero” by 2050 will cost the country is lunacy.
The target was signed into legislation without a Parliamentary debate and we remain in the dark about how much ordinary families are going to have to cough up in taxes or in their bills.
Another fine mess Theresa May has got us into.
Boris had an opportunity three years ago and he bottled it. Should tell you all you need to know about the chancer.Boris has an opportunity. Let’s hope the rebels in his party don’t ruin it.
A timely reminder that the rag is registered with the Electoral Commission as a campaigning organisation.
Shouldn't their trade end up on somebody's election expenses then?
THE SUN SAYS Boris has been a revelation since he took over Brexit but signing away powers to get it over the line could cost him his job
BORIS Johnson has been a revelation since he took over Brexit. But he must tread carefully along the political tightrope.
Delivering on the referendum ought to make Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party redundant and ensure a Tory election win. But binning the toxic Irish backstop might not be enough even if the EU agrees.
There is plenty in Theresa May’s deal to bind our hands even after we have left.
The Sun would still prefer a deal. But Farage will capitalise, understandably so, if Boris signs away any sovereign powers in haste to get Brexit over the line. That could yet cost him power.
This may all be moot. We do not see Brussels nor the Irish PM scrapping the backstop they have treated as holy writ.
But when his own allies like Iain Duncan Smith warn him not to be satisfied solely with that, Boris must listen.
WHO’S up for more years of bitter Brexit division and political paralysis?
Not Leavers, who were sick of it long ago and are furious their vote hasn’t been fulfilled. Not the EU, either. Its leaders, Boris says, just want it done now too.
But others ARE bent on prolonging the agony indefinitely. What are Labour, the Lib-Dems, the SNP, the Greens and the Exact Change brigade all smoking?
After all that’s happened, how can they still believe our best bet is to nullify the referendum and hold a second, skewed to ensure a Remain verdict? Nothing is more certain to wreck Britain.
Yet befuddled Corbyn, led by his scheming sidekick Keir Starmer, has signed Labour up to this lunacy and abandoned his Leave voters entirely.
Riding high two years ago, Corbyn is now reduced to feebly branding No Deal a “bankers’ Brexit” or a “Trump-deal Brexit”, apparently unaware bankers funded Remain and that no Trump deal would ever involve the NHS.
It is dog-whistle drivel for deranged anti-American Trots and the #FBPE losers whining about Brexit on Twitter.
These diehard Remainers, trapped in their bubble, are a truly pitiful bunch.
Fucking nut jobs at the Sun that’s who.WHO’S up for more years of bitter Brexit division and political paralysis?
He is? I wish Starmer would bloody hurry up and execute his cunning plot.Yet befuddled Corbyn, led by his scheming sidekick Keir Starmer
