There's an hilarious leaked diary page of Corbyn's battle strategy for the next few months which I can no longer find but please stick up if you do. Jezza is touring the Red Wall and the yoof to win back voters his shoshilist agenda.* Which he won anyway according to him.

* Speaking of Benn, I have seen '10 million votes for socialism' in the GE being hailed as a great victory for Jeremy to build upon. The fact that over 5 million did it holding their nose is a great tribute to Labour's brand.

Corbyn’s legacy is already in place. It’s Brexit plus a minimum of 5 years of Tory rule because he put himself and his project before the good of the country and made the wrong call every single time.

Granting Johnson an election was in his gift. Making it clear he would step aside - even temporarily - for a leader of a GONU was in his gift. Working with other parties and standing down candidates in non-labour marginals was in his gift. Not skewing resources toward seats he wanted to make a political point in was in his gift. These errors were not down to media portrayal, or Blairites, or plotters. Just the hubris of Corbyn and his close entourage.

Just a shame that Corbyn could find his balls before the General Election to call out Johnson on stuff like this. Whilst amusing to watch the Tory front bench squirm, it's just too late now.

It's like watching your team score a brilliantly worked team goal when you're already 5-0 down and it's stoppage time.

I'd reckon the best soccer equivalent is Oscar's goal for Brazil vs. Germany in the 2014 World Cup Semi-Final. I mean, it was a neat pass to split open the German defence & a good solo effort to shoot the ball past Neuer. Just a shame that the only thing that mattered about it was that it ensured the result of the game would equal Brazil's worst ever competitive result, and not be thee worst outright.

To put it bluntly, I bet all those people whose businesses will go bust because of all the customs checks that we all knew were going to happen but the Tories denied until this week will be fucking delighted that they can now take a video of this performance to the bank as collateral against a loan to save their company.

Oh wait, that’s right. He was fucking useless when it mattered and this is at best irrelevant, and at worst rubbing it in that he could have done better but just decided not to.
