I would genuinely love to see a weekly political debate show between Richard Burgon and Mark Francois, only in the edit there's a tickertape running across the bottom saying what they got wrong, and a soundtrack is overlayed with swanny whistles and womp womp sad trombones.

Also, it really is staggering quite how much labour apparently 'won' that made fuck-all difference. Which is basically an outright admission that the leadership misplaced all its resources with disastrous consequences.

Searching on Twitter under Nandy you will still find CyberNats banging on about something she didn’t say. The claim is Nandy wants to send up English cops to crack their skulls after expressing admiration for Spain over Catalonia. What she was noting is that tensions are eased when the Socialist Party is in power. If anything she was making overtures to the SNP. No pleasing some.
It's almost like CyberNats only hear what they want to hear and have to make up stuff to discredit people they don't want to listen to. Which makes them nothing at all like Corbynite Twitter. Not at all.

Broadcast feeds off others setting their agenda for its domestic news; That morning's papers, social media, statement by B-list celebrity. Even within those parameters its still not good enough. No surprise campaigners need celebs to even just blip them on the media radar. The news value of their stories should sell themselves to a mildly curious journalist but they don't.
I had no idea about environmental degradation threatening chalk rivers caused by successive governments and the EA acting illegally by ignoring ECJ rulings for 15 years. Its only appeared on the agenda thanks to a former pop singer's (Feargal Sharkey) active involvement

Sounds good, but to hold my full attention, you need to scrap the swanee whistles and trombones and replace them with David Haye* delivering a right hook each time they lie.

Would a Starmer leadership be able to recreate Sturgeon's magic in keeping them in a big tent of support? Bloody hope not. Nowhere near enough of them for their piss to penetrate through from the outside of the canvas. Galloway has formed some nutty new Stalinist party they can join.

I'd've settled for the Tiswas gunge tank.

It does feel like a lot of the post electoral assessment has been 'but whyyyyy isn't the truth obvious to them??'
Someone I know literally used the phrase "But whyyyyyyyy, when the Tories are so much worse" in response to the report that came out pre-election of the extent of the antisemitism problem/the extent of Corbyn & team's indifference and interference.

And she was right that the tories are worse. No question. But that's not the problem and never was. If you're a vegetarian you don't just choose the restaurant that sells the least meat. And if you don't like bigotry you don't just go for the party with the smaller bigotry problem.

Some leadership thoughts from the local Momentum group
I am beginning to wish that Richard Burgon was the leadership candidate. He wants clause iv back, and an end to the failed neoliberal economics. This is leadership.

Now we need to get them both (RBL and Burgon) into office, clean up the press and BBC, remov outside influencers, and start looking at the withdrawal of the Whip, and possibly Disciplinary Committee, for any MPs who are not totally loyal to the Party Leadership and the Membership.

So, wanting the moon on a stick is "leadership" now, is it?

Nothing else involved? No "man management" skills? No giving clear and unambiguous messages on the direction to take? No dealing with internal problems, and being*seen* to be dealing with them? No ability to listen to others, and maybe modify your stance on the strength of new ideas? No attempt to reach out to a wider audience in a way they'll actually listen to?

Fuck me! Corbyn must've been God!
