Morning Boiler, Morning everybody.

How is youse, Kreuze?

Woke up fit and well this morning. Well, bunged up and nose full of blood, but with my sinuses that's normal. Mrs A is fine.

Expecting a phone call from the food supply to take payment, apart from some photo play nothing else planned. Must get on the exercise bike.

There was a lot of traffic around 9am, but very little now, so presumably people still working but otherwise staying home.

I might write something educational to go with the docs on setting and doing project work and timetabling which I have done over the past couple of days. Might.

Stay safe, stay well.

What ho, chums!

Same old same old. Apart from the getting under each other's feet business, I'm living the dream. Stuck in a house full of books, guitars and model kits. Dirty work, but someone's got to do it.

Stay safe, my lovelies.

Ye gods! Boiler. I think you've crossed the line from "geek" to "full-on anorak"!
I am very proud to be an anorak :D

It became a standing joke about the huge rip in my coat at work, which upon being pointed out to me I usually remarked "I know: I'm curating it". (I absolutely fucking hate that expression, btw but it seems apt) The same response I give to people who remark about the fuck-off big crack in my car's windscreen.

I did reply to someone (a good friend) that "I am curating the image of the Gentleman Tramp."

After a pause, he replied:

"Smashed it."

Two weeks ago our local hospital said that none of its patients had the Coronavirus but yesterday the hospital announced that 10 patients had now died from the virus. The trust has kept telling the public that it is totally prepared for the pandemic but the reality is that in normal times patients in need of critical or acute care are usually sent to either Sheffield or Nottingham for treatment so the hospital really doesn't have much capacity or specialist staff to deal with large numbers of patients who are in a critical condition.

I'm guessing that with large numbers of people in Sheffield suffering from the virus sending patients from our hospital to Sheffield is now not an option.

My wife's ward seems to be becoming the coronavirus death ward. Grim. But I suppose she should get proper protective clothes now.
I clicked "Here's a hug" on that. It seems so desperately inadequate. If it means anything more, please tell Ms. Isaacs that I am able to close my eyes, picture exactly what is going on, and thank her from the core of my being.

Tubs, you married well.

I certainly did.

That's a lovely reaction and I'll pass it on to her when she finishes this run of shifts. Thanks to all of you.

I'm guessing that's either Chesterfield Royal, half a mile from here, or Mrs T.'s workplace at Kings Mill.

Morning Karl, morning everybody.

Kreuz - can I add myself to your excellent post in praise of Mrs Tubz? I have admiration boundless for NHS staff at the moment - well, always, really, but their fortitude and bravery put the snivelling Tories to shame.

All well at Armsteen Acres, and throughout the extended family, although I'm getting cross that Grand-daughter's mother and grandmother are doing very little to keep her up with school work. Grandma is a big walker, and so instead of starting work each morning they are off to walk the dog for a couple of hours. Apparently this is preparation for secondary school in September, because it doesn't look like she'll be going back to Year 6.

Fruit and veg coming today, now got deliveries booked 4 weeks in advance. Looks like we'll be going veggie! It's much better for my blood glucose.

Cooked Spaghetti Carbonara for the first time in my life yesterday. Easy, innit? And few ingredients, which is good. May have to be cheddar next time, though, no Parmesan to be had.

Stay cool everyone.

Much love to Mrs Tubz and any others in the same position.
