Apparently Liz Truss is going to be doing today's daily briefing! Hopefully the markets will have closed before she starts speaking or else the FTSE will take another hammering.
That. Is. A. Dis. Grace.
Story goes that Hancock's took her place.
Hasn't he got the lurgi though?

It would appear no longer and he was asked why he got tested. 'Conveniently' faded out by the BBC at that point to link to the Six O'clock news (I'm watching it on the web), but apparently it was because he's in a key government position.

Because Tim, like many columnists, doesn't so much write as bolt together pre-written paragraphs and hang them on the hook of a recent event.

If Boris is waiting until next week to re-emerge on the basis of avoiding the worst, he’s fucked it. I was on a call with a COPD specialist today, and they say the peak is a fortnight off.

If he’s still inside then, he’s simply hiding. Perhaps in a fridge, again?

Blimey. Obviously I hope Johnson recovers. And as and when he does, I suspect he might have some newly formed robust thoughts about Cummings and his 4D herd immunity bullshit.
Me too (in regards to his recovery) but I suspect he might launching a rocket up Hancock's arse in regards to testing. I'm sure being seriously ill with it and isolation from others will make him want to put the least amount of the population through both.

Indeed. I gather the odds once you get admitted to ICU are around 50/50
As far as I’ve read it’s 50-50 if you go on a ventilator. As far as I know he isn’t yet but it’s not looking good.

If it's any consolation, I think that Prime Ministers face a rather lower bar to ICU entry than us expendables.
