Morning all,

Beautiful day here at the Oblomov abode, BBQ food and beers more than enough for just us two who will be having it.

Blairite centrist tuna melt James O’Brien was meant to begin a week’s holiday today but he’s postponed that just to deal with the Cummings news so I’ll be tuning in to soak up the pathos.

Thursday other half had symptoms.
Friday took her to be tested.
Yesterday afternoon she got an "all clear" text.
Great.

This morning we awoke to the news that Weston General (our local) is closed to patients due to a spike of COVID cases. Only yesterday I was studying PHE's data - the South West has the lowest rate in England but I suspect that's about to change.

Presumably it's only a matter of time before other seaside resorts report similar spikes. https://www.thewestonmercury.co.uk/news ... -1-6669079

An example of epic cuntery in the sole BTL comment there.

A couple of weeks ago, herself mentioned in passing something that she'd thought of taking up during lockdown. She's not usually one for dropping hints so I thought about whether or not it might have been a whim, decided I may as well take the gamble and pressed 'purchase'. Yesterday she became the (thankfully delighted) new owner of a Fender acoustic.
Can't go wrong with a Fender

What ho chums.

Went on yet another stroll to the Co-op today, bread, milk and cigs. At the checkout, a gobby wino of the type this area specialises in enquired if he could purchase just one can of Old Wife Beater, plonking it down next to my as yet unpurchased supplies. Having paid for my goods, and being the act of putting them in a bag, the arsehole passed me and clapped a hand on my shoulder. The chap behind the counter told me, far too late, that if I - and I quote - had "twatted the cunt" he wouldn't have seen anything. Now, I think I may have mentioned before, that I'm what rugby players refer to as a 'big unit', and it's very rare that I throw that unit about. This fucker came close.

So, home to a literal bloody good scrub with disinfectant and a change of clothes. I really didn't need that little episode.

Stay sane, stay safe, groovers.

What ho chums...
I had a fairly similar experience this evening. Out for the essentials - pistachios, fags, vino, and grana - three yoofs were clowning around in the queue in front of me in the supermarket. "Distancing and facemask rules also apply to spazzy* wee cunts like you", was my direct observation. At only 1.78m, I am not that imposing but I do look like a really nasty bastard when I deploy the Luton death stare.

The lockdown fizzled out here a good month ago and it is only a matter of time before we start to bring out our second round of cadavers. I am quite pissed off, to be honest

*Certainly not one I am proud of but, hey, it's all about cut-though these days, innit?

I've often wondered what the German for "spazzy wee cunts" was.
"Spakko Fotzleine".

Morning all,

Stuffy indoors so we're now at the stage of opening the windows. Tentative plans afoot for a trip to Italy at the end of August but let's not rush the optimism eh?

What ho, Obie! 'Morning, groovers!

Better mood today. Still bloody angry mind, just not psychologically disurbed as much. Youngest niece is 28 today (where do the years go?), she's been a tower of strength through all this, on top of her own family to run and her job in a care home worrying us all sick, no doubt another safe distance party over the garden gate later. Back to tinkering with the Seafire. Will be booing for Boris at 8pm. Yay! Car showrooms!

Stay sane, stay safe, my lovelies.
