Sunak’s mask is probably fine - assuming he hasn’t got a snorkel pipe stashed away underneath, the valve being off centre means the vast majority of any droplets from his nose or mouth would be caught on the fabric. The ones with valves right in front of your mouth are more questionable, but that said, they don’t need to be airtight either for the general public. This is about catching big particles and reducing your risk of infecting others, not being hermetically sealed to reduce your own risk.

OK, The photographer who has been following him around is doing a good job. He's making him look taller.
Is it Mark François?

It's a rock star thing. You could comfortably fit Iggy Pop, Johnny Thunders, and Freddie Mercury in to a working man's sandwich box.

(No puns were intended in the making of this post.)
Timbo liked this

The trick is to keep getting him to pose with hobbits.

Everyone's easier on the eye than Gove.
Cummings?

I hear that when those two and Young used to meet at the Dep't of education, the mirrors were on suicide watch.

Ed Miliband is the only MP I’ve seen who looks taller in person. Keir’s not tall either.
In my experience Television gives few clues about a person's stature.

Just over 3 decades ago I got a train seat opposite Clive LLoyd (former West Indies cricket captain).
I'd read the 6'4" measure in teh press, so I should, by rights have been slightly taller.
Fuck me he was massive, not just the height, much more solidly built than you imagined form the telly.
Enormous hands to boot.

A few years later I met the unmistakable Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Often one of the smaller men in group photos, but in life remarkably small.
Not much over 5 feet by my estimation - but a wonderfully charismatic man.

You get that impression of stature in life, less so on the telly.

It definitely adds a stone but I'm not sure about height.

Height is down to a lack of cues.
Clive Lloyd among that cricket team didn't seem exceptionally tall.
The Archbishop usually appeared with a microphone or sat at a table.
etc etc.
