‪What the fuck would he know about the experiences of black people driving a car worth more than a grand? There’s no racism and the darkies have a chip on their shoulder. Couldn’t find the cunt of the day thread to put him in it

Sadly, he probably knows a lot more about northern bigots than we do.

What baffles me most about the Dawn Butler case is that the Met's explanation amounts to "We thought she was from Yorkshire", like that's some kind of excuse.
Do they routinely pull any vehicle from out of town, or just the ones registered in Yorkshire?
Will #YorkshireLivesMatter be trending on Twitter by the morning?

Did the registration check show a car from the locked-down areas of West Yorkshire?
It doesn't matter. Even cars from West Yorkshire can be driven by someone else.

The question is why they searched the number in the first place.

Sections of the video were on Channel Four News earlier (report after the link). The young PC who shoved his head through the passenger side window said that it was a routine stop related to gun and knife crime in the area, so I very much doubt that the lockdown status of Yorkshire had anything to do with it.

The later portions of the video show an older officer apologising and talking about the mis-entered registration, and sounding nervous enough for you to think he was about to face a firing squad. I'm guessing he'd suddenly realised who they were dealing with. On film.
