Ref Cold War Steve

Bournemouth council. I believe I've named and shamed those vile Tory bastards before in this very thread for passing a bylaw allowing themselves to fine homeless people for the crime if not having a home to go to.

They are scum.

I dunno about that. The BBC reported on their website a couple of weeks ago that Bournemouth council had put the fine up to £100 from £50. Maybe that's what they ditched, the rise. I haven't seen anything about them doing away with the fine completely.

They're still scum, whatever.

It's a pretty deranged place, but some articles exceed all expectations of batshitness.

Can you imagine working on that website? Screeds of A4 incoming and in green ink, and having to format that utter bilge for output while proof-reading it. It could be rather damaging.

The Times is reporting the Tories have a new head of OFCOM in mind.

Paul Dacre. PAUL FUCKING DACRE.
He did such a great job at the Press Complaints Commission.

Moore is, I understand, very much in favour of decriminalisation of licence fee evasion. My big worry is what becomes of the BBC as a whole, especially its pensioners.

The only thing I draw comfort from is that even Johnson's own MPs are getting ever more unhappy with him just enacting what Cumshot tells him to do without any parliamentary scrutiny.

However, there is an interesting take on this by Fenton:

I recommend reading this with an over-active Scroll Finger*. Back and forth we flick until the full horror hits. And then some more.

*Windows users might need to download drivers or contact tech support in Manilla.
