The pity-vote. I have never seen this before in British politics, but I suppose it is all part of the reality TV meme where fat, ugly, bambi-legged contestants are blessed with the chance to manage - er... I dunno - a country suffering industrial viral slaughter.

A penny to a quid says that this is the product of focus groups in places like Chelmsford and Worcester. The country has been infantilised to the point of crying for poor, wee Bowith, just as they did with their yearning for their proper Kwithmas.

Pitiful, innit?

Trump and Johnson's victories showed Republican and Tory voters aren't really the grown-ups in the room who value national security, prudence, leadership and straight bat government. Yep, fucking children.

On a similar note I was warned by a fellow dog walker down the park yesterday to watch for an idiot who has no control over his nasty dog he cleary hasn't socialised properly. The dog is called Nigel.

If Labour want to do a great party political broadcast, they just show Johnson looking sad and taking full responsibility, then show him at PMQs a day later doing his insulted bullshitter routine, refusing to look at learning lessons or holding an inquiry, and not taking any responsibility whatsoever. Then queue up as many grieving relatives as they can to say Johnson refuses to meet with them. Then just say it's all an act for Alexander Johnson. Bonus points if they can get footage of him ruffling his hair before he goes on camera.

Alexander Johnson gets furious when Boris Johnson is shown to be a facade. Labour should be pulling off his clown mask at every opportunity. Boris Johnson is a big old bundle of fun trying to do his best. Alex Johnson is a cynical, selfish, manipulative and short-tempered man who pretends to be an upper-class buffoon as it lets him get away with far more.

Labour seem more interested in putting Sunak in the frame than being too hard on Johnson. I get the moves but its not the time to play games as Alex Johnson's premiership is costing lives. I'd rather have seen the Tories handle this pandemic competently and be 15 points ahead than this useless twat at the helm.

Just off the phone with a good friend.
His son woks at the lighthouse lab that was visited today.

2 worthwhile stories.

He didn't wear the PPE properly (You'll see his collar exposed on pictures).

He wanted a piece of equipment to carry for a photo opportunity.
The "first thing to hand" (ahem) was a sump where all the dregs and snotters from completed tests are stored prior to disposal.

He seems to have done the same photo shoot in at least half a dozen labs now. Surely photo-opportunities like this must be pretty unhelpful for all those people in the labs who are busting a gut to get as many vaccines produced and tested as possible.

The vaccine is the only thing about this shit-show that he can claim some success for. Yes, we know the reason is that he's left it to the grown-ups to work on, but he can say its down to him so he's going to be all over it.

What is Johnson trying to hide? Why is he demanding secrecy over vaccine supply figures for "security reasons"?

Ruth Davidson has been accusing the Scottish government of having large doses of vaccine just sitting around, I presume Sturgeon's released the figures as vindication of the Scottish vaccine rollout.

Simplest answer would be that he doesn't want anyone to start doing maths and spotting discrepancies between number of doses at start, however many they claim to have administered, and what's left.

But I suspect it's more complicated than that.
