She's a councillor in Liverpool shew's been made into a martyr becasue Labour suspended the process and she and two other candidates weren't invited to re apply naturally left twitter has reacted with it's usual degree of outrage convinced it's a plot to stop socialist candidates from being selected.

Anyone who looks at the rise of WFH and doesn't see the potential for ending brain- and population drain from working class areas, the stabilisation and equalisation of property prices, the opening of a greater variety of jobs and education for those outside a few golden postcodes, pollution and traffic reduction and the resultant health and wellbeing effects, and so on, isn't a socialist, they're cosplaying some grim stereotype.

I expect that's pretty obvious, though.

I've been reading some of the British Election Study's data on the 2017 election recently. As you might expect, it goes into the Brexit referendum as part of the context, and the figures seem to play out in a way that suggests that age was the deciding factor (with a secondary focus on education), as opposed to class.

But, as you say, that doesn't suit the narrative.
