Splendid news that Laura Kuenssberg has been given the job of permanent host of the BBC’s flagship Sunday morning political show.

I think that Laura is one of the best political journalists in the UK, and should do a great job - definitely better than Marr.

I was unimpressed by the placard-waving Corbynite simpletons hysterically screaming “BIAS” whenever she was obliged to report on Jezza’s uselessness.

Well done, Laura. Looking forward to it.

I think she let herself down extremely badly for much of the Brexit campaign and into the early Johnson premiership.
The fault was uncritical parroting of "A Brexit Source" and later "A Downing Street Source" without check or counter.
It all ceased pretty soon after the Princess Nut Nut massacre.

Shows like the BBC's "Brexitcast" could have provided laser-focus insight into the EU, how its functions might be replaced, and some fact checking of the week's campaign claims.
Instead we got 3 journos after hours giggling into their prosecco and gossiping about who had attended which London parties.
An opportunity for news reduced to 3am Girls performance art.

Laura Kuenssburg's summary of the local election results could not have been more one sided. Lots of talk about how the results were not too bad for the Tories given that they have been in power for 12 years. She then went on to big up the police investigation into Starmer. She really needs to start wearing a blue rosette.

The results weren't very good for the Tories the last time these seats were up in England. They nonetheless have shipped well over 300.
